New Nvidia RTX 40 series graphics cards on the way - end of the RTX 30 series

Four new GPU models from Nvidia are to be released by June: RTX 4070, RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 4060 and RTX 4050, while the RTX 30 series is leaving through the back door.
It has been known for some time that the RTX 4070 will be released on 13 April. According to rumours, the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 will be released one month later, followed by the RTX 4050 in June . If the rumours are correct, new graphics cards from Team Green will be released every month until June. The line-up of the RTX 40 series would be complete - apart from further Ti versions.
Products for "mainstream gamers"
Nvidia actively promoted the predecessor models RTX 3080, 3070 and 3060 at the launch of the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. The manufacturer pursued a two-generation strategy: the new models were for enthusiasts, the old ones for "mainstream gamers" (Nvidia's wording). In other words, for all those who don't have the necessary small change and want cheaper cards. However, this justification was probably just an excuse. According to reports such as this, Nvidia was sitting on a huge pile of RTX-30 series GPUs.
Leaving through the back door
This pile no longer seems so big. This is because the manufacturer removed the Founders Edition GPUs from the homepage at the beginning of March. This clears the way for further cards in the RTX 40 series. The 30 series is thus quietly saying goodbye. It will go down in history as the generation that was probably the most scarce in terms of availability.
