Background information
Galaxus is a very well-known online shop in Switzerland. The fact that a company is venturing into Germany is a topic of discussion in Switzerland. Here's what the Swiss have to say.
The news was eagerly commented on on the major news site 20min.ch. I read through the comments and picked out some interesting comments.
Courageous decision... but only those who don't try can lose. Good luck!
Clearly, the world belongs to the brave!
Aua! At Galaxus since July 18 and such an absurd idea. Mr Hasselmann should settle in at Galaxus first. Why do I recognise Germans like this? The economy or the market will sort it out so that Mr Hasselmann falls flat on his face. [...]
That's exactly how it was! Frank Hasselmann hired himself and decided on his own initiative to bring Galaxus Deutschland to Germany. And he did it in four months. The man is already a legend.
This project will be a failure, just like Migros Germany. But good luck anyway!
The comment confuses me. Are we to fail successfully, Peter?
Wow! I wish Galaxus every success!
Thank you, Alexander!
Galaxus convinces with top service and still the most beautiful and clearest online shop. I think the Germans might like that. However, good prices and a lot of Marketing are necessary. By the way, I would see much more potential for Digitec than for Galaxus Deutschland, as there is no really great choice for electronics in Germany.
Thanks for the praise, Reto! Since we're starting with electronics, it should work out. We're working on the Marketing.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the market launch in Germany works out this time.
Merci, B8B!
Have fun outsourcing yourself. The Swiss employees are now heroically helping to build up Germany and in the end their jobs are gone to Germany. This is currently happening in many companies and since the headcount isn't changing, nobody is saying anything.
Wait a minute, I hadn't even thought about that. I think I'll have a word with the guy who brought Galaxus Deutschland to Germany within four months.
Fingers crossed! Great company, wish you lots of success!
Thank you very much, Rombalk.
