The 3 best products I tested in 2025
No trends, no hype – just products that are demonstrably good in real life. Here are my three fashion favourites of the year.
Amongst all the trends and showiness, it’s easy to forget how down-to-earth some clothes can be. My fashion favourites this year are anything but spectacular. Instead, they’re super useful and reliable in day-to-day life.
1. The most efficient steamer
The Tefal Aerosteam initially had its work cut out for it at my place. I’m someone who appreciates pretty products – and this steamer’s not exactly a feast for the eyes. Aside from that, the device has made me readjust my expectations when it comes to steamers. The Aerosteam’s combination of steam and suction power allows you to smooth out your clothes faster and in a more controlled way. So much so that it’s made conventional irons seem inefficient to me. I won’t be going back to those!

2. The comfiest tank top
Although undershirts are unpretentious, every little detail has to be right. This tank top from Zurich-based brand Moi Basics certainly manages that. It can be worn both under and over a shirt, fits like a glove and has a flattering cut. Not only that, but it’s super soft and sustainably produced. You won’t be surprised to hear that I still wear mine all the time, even though it’s been a year since I reviewed it. An all-rounder that definitely won’t wear out too quickly.
3. The cosiest slippers
Even though I haven’t had Crocs’ Classic Unfurgettable Clogs for long, they’ve become an integral part of my day-to-day life. These slippers give my permanently cold feet a fluffy cushion to sink into, but still feel robust and high-quality thanks to their strong outsoles. They also look wonderfully cosy. And you know what makes them even more practical? They’re machine washable.
Has endless love for shoulder pads, Stratocasters and sashimi, but a limited tolerance for bad impressions of her Eastern Swiss dialect.
Practical solutions for everyday problems with technology, household hacks and much more.
