The Samsung Galaxy S11 is to get a larger battery

There is still some time before the Galaxy S11 is officially unveiled in February 2020. However, speculation about the new smartphone is already circulating. The latest rumour revolves around the battery, about which information is said to have been leaked.
The specific issue is the battery of the Galaxy S11e. It looks like there will be another low-cost version of the S11 after the premiere of the Galaxy S10e.
Significantly higher battery capacity
On Twitter, "@UniverseIce", who has already published numerous leaks in the past, shows a photo of a battery that is supposed to be the battery of the Galaxy S11e. He surmises that the new battery could have a capacity of around 4000 mAh or even up to 5000 mAh. Even the lower value would be a significant leap compared to its predecessor. The battery of the Galaxy S10e has a capacity of 3100 mAh. And if the low-cost model already has such a large battery, the Galaxy S10 and S10+ should also see an increase in capacity. For comparison: they are currently 300 and 1000 mAh above the S10e.

According to "@UniverseIce", Samsung could use the increased capacity to prepare the smartphone for 5G and a higher refresh rate, among other things. The keyword here is the 90 Hz displays that OnePlus and Google, for example, have been using in their latest smartphones to date.
The battery shown in the photo by "@UniverseIce" is also almost square and therefore has a completely different shape to the battery of the Galaxy S10e, which is slightly elongated. If the photo shows the real battery, the Galaxy S11e will have a new motherboard design. We will probably find out in February what Samsung uses this for and whether the battery really has a larger capacity. Until then, there are sure to be many more rumours about the Galaxy S11 floating around the internet.
