The tail cushion

All sorts of things are presented at trade fairs like IFA. In addition to hard hardware, there is also a soft tail cushion to marvel at. The cushion is designed to imitate a cat, but without a head.
The Qoobo is intended to be a pet substitute: When the cushion is stroked, the fabric tail reacts rhythmically to the movements. And depending on the direction of stroking, it swings from left to right. Thanks to the built-in motor, the whole thing is supposed to resemble the movements of a real cat.
The guys from thenextweb.com call the headless robot cat's tail cushion the coolest thing they saw at the IFA.

The background to the pillow: Because it has been scientifically proven that pets improve emotional well-being, but not all people can own a pet, the Qoobo comes into play - that's the name of the tail pillow. Yukai Engineering, the company behind the Qoobo, describes the product as "a tail pillow that heals your heart." Further, according to Yukai, the pillow is a therapeutic robot in the form of a pillow with a tail.
The product seems to be a need: On Kickstarter, the thing was successful, over 900 devices were sold and 120,000 dollars were raised.
The cattail pillow is rechargeable via USB cable. If you really want one now: you too can become a Tail Pillow owner for a mere 149 dollars.
