E-bikers: reckless and too lazy to pedal?
by Patrick Bardelli
End of the year - time for rankings of all kinds. I've got one for you too: the top 10 articles in Galaxus magazine.
Almost everything for almost everyone - that's the Galaxus claim. This applies not only to the selection in the shop, but also to the editorial articles that we publish in the magazine. But which ones went down best with you as a reader? To get a ranking, I fired up our data machine. Which articles were clicked on the most by the community and read the longest? Here's the result - in reverse order.
Tenth place is shared by two guides on very different topics. Whereby, if the WLAN runs reliably, the all-nighters are a possible explanation for dark circles under the eyes.
I know a friction roller drive from old movies, but I wouldn't have known the idea behind it. Yet it is currently experiencing a revival due to the e-bike boom. Editor Michael Restin explains what the technology is all about and which start-ups want to use it to move their bikes.
New roads aren't just the stuff of years-long discussions in real life. Lego's new roads are causing heated discussions far beyond the nursery. So it's no surprise that our test of the new sets made it into the top 10.
Bikes seem to have done it to you. Not only did you read the article about a new, old drive technology a lot, but also the confession of my colleague Michael that e-bikes are wonderful sports equipment and by no means just a means of transport for "older men with pain bellies".
The different variants of many smartphones, with mostly small differences, moves you too. At least the post in which I complain about Pro and Ultra models was often read as well as commented on numerous times.
Along with Pro and Ultra, 5G has become a name addition to smartphones over the past two years. However, it proves to be useless in the cheap Redmi Note 10 in the comparison test. Both smartphones cost a similar amount. But since 5G is more expensive than 4G, Xiaomi saves elsewhere on the 5G version.
Editor Ramon hit a nerve with his overview of Lego discontinued models. Many readers wanted to know which sets Lego will stop producing in 2022.
Given the prevalence of smartphones, it's hardly surprising that many people are wondering what useful things they can do with their old devices. Accordingly, the 15 suggestions were often read, commented on, and heartfelt.
Twice the movie release of "No Time to Die" was postponed. A year and a half later than originally planned, the last 007 flick with Daniel Craig as James Bond hit theaters. Our film specialist Luca thinks the wait for the actor's farewell was worth it.
Never grease the chain or change a worn sprocket again. The prospect of a new transmission on a bike appeals. That's indicated by the amount of interest in this post about chainless and beltless drivetrain technology. You use the pedals to generate electrical energy that powers the motor in the rear wheel.
When I was but a young student, I'd sit in my friend's living room with all my classmates and play on his SuperNES. Since then I've had the opportunity to test out all the newest technology for you. I've done reviews at Curved, Computer Bild and Netzwelt, and have now arrived at Galaxus.de.
