RAM Upgrade for HP Omen Pc 880-p1xx

Hello folks, I need some advice. I would like to upgrade my PC (HP Omen Pc 880-p1xx) to 32 GB RAM. At the moment 16GB DDR4 is installed. Unfortunately I can't find the Mhz info (please share where you can see this, then I'll share it here) -> My question now is, should I just buy another 16GB RAM (DDR4) or better 2 new 16GB RAM DDR4 with a higher Mhz (e.g. 3200)? Thank you for your tips or direct product recommendations. (If more specifications of the system are needed, just let me know). Merci :)

    Filter by Expo/XMP

It would be very useful if I could filter by certification. At the moment it's pointless to buy Intel, yet most of the RAM sticks here are optimised for XMP. It has never been so difficult to find the right sticks and the filter would help massively.

The quality of the filters is not good...

As many users have pointed out, the filters are imprecise, as in the case of ECC. What's more, you don't allow you to filter AMD-optimised RAM and Intel-optimised RAM and possibly both. This is extremely problematic when looking for RAM.

Question about Corsair Dominator Platinum modules regarding ECC

https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/corsair-d564gb-6000-40-dominator-plat-bk-k2-cor-xmp-2-x-32gb-6000-mhz-ddr5-ram-dimm-ram-23506020 Does anyone use exactly these modules on an Asus Maximus Z790 Hero? Does everything run without problems? I'm asking because the motherboard only supports modules without ECC and ECC is specified here in the specs.

@Digitec Please do not list ODECC-only RAM as ECC

You list a lot of RAM modules as ECC that do not have real ECC but only ODECC. Can you please fix this? At the moment the filter is useless All DDR5 ICs have ODECC, but this is not real ECC. ODECC is there to correct errors in the die. This increases the yield for the manufacturer. In contrast, real ECC is there to recognise one-off errors (caused by radiation and other random quantum mechanical processes) and correct them if possible. This increases reliability during operation. No RAM module with RGB has ECC. Can you please correct all RAM modules with RGB and set them to unbuffered or ODECC? And all other DDR5 RAM modules would probably have to be looked at and corrected accordingly.

Who is constantly making the search filters worse?!

Where have the Speed and CL filters gone, for example? To be honest, I would be interested to know how/who decides which search filter is removed? Every x months the 2 least used filters are thrown out or what?

Which additional RAM bar for Acer Nitro 50-640, Intel Core i7 12700F,

It now has a DDR4-3200 Kingston 16GB in it and I want to expand the memory to 32GB. Does it have to be a Kingston or something else? I am only a user...

When will RAM kits with better latencies be available and will there be a filter that distinguishes between XMS/EXPO?

Good day, I am currently assembling an enthusiastic system, but I am missing the really good RAM. I would like to have a system assembled with RAM with 6000Mhz and CL30 latencies. Unfortunately I miss the real enthusiast sticks. In addition, there is no filter that can be set, i.e. I cannot, for example, display the currently available sticks with AMD EXPO profile, which I feel is not really up to date. Psst. Secret tip, to stand out from the competition, you have to do more than the competitors. Greetings Lobsi

    Re-introduce ECC vs non-ECC

Can we please have ECC and non-ECC as a category again? Also UDIMM and RDIMM would be quite nice, like in the past - it is difficult to find DDR5 ECC bars in the shop...

    Upgrade Ram

Hello together I currently have 16 GB of the following RAM in my PC: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/hyperx-fury-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3200-dimm-288-pin-ram-11841791?supplier=406802 I want to upgrade to 32 GB. But my used RAM is no longer available. Does anyone know of a good alternative? I once read that you shouldn't mix different types of memory. Kind regards

Search filter Intel XMP, AMD EXPO

Currently, there is no way to search for DDR5 RAM that supports either the overclocking profiles in the form of Intel's XMP or AMD's EXPO. Thus, one is still dependent on the websites of the manufacturers and has to cross-compare what is available at all. Can you please install such a filter?

Is there already a CPU that supports DDR5 RAM 6400 MHZ?

I am confused. Is there even a CPU anywhere that supports DDR5 6400 MHZ? If not, why exactly is there such fast RAM? Do not see the point

Filter does not show some products

If I filter for "Memory chip: DDR5-4800", it shows 37 products. If I also (for whatever reason) filter by "Memory type: DDR5-RAM", there are suddenly only 34 products. I am confused... aren't all DDR5-4800 RAM really DDR5 RAM? I've noticed several times that the filter doesn't always work properly (e.g. for mainboards, ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI simply no longer appears depending on the filter DDR5+i9 12th gen). Somehow you completely lose confidence in the filter.

    Filter "Availability" in RAM DDR5

I select https://www.digitec.ch/de... and take RAM. First delete all filters. Then I select DDR5 filtered by availability. As a result, items appear that are immediately available. However, the list of immediately available items is repeatedly interrupted by products that are not immediately available (delivery date unknown). Why is this? Does the "Availability" filter for RAM DDR5 work correctly?

    64 GB RAM

I have an Acer Predator Orion 5000 PC with 32 GB RAM, RTX 2070 SUPER, Intel 10700K. What RAM can you recommend (64 GB), or does it even make sense to upgrade. Should I remove the 2x16 RAM (I have 4 slots) or can I leave both on and have 96 GB RAM?

RAM for gaming, use 2 or 4 slots?

Hello, I would like to upgrade the RAM on my PC. (4 slots) https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-2-x-16gb-ddr4-3600-dimm-288-pin-ram-12513501 https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-4-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-dimm-288-pin-ram-11477691 I think this RAM is suitable for gaming, maybe someone else can confirm that. I would like to upgrade to 32GB. Should I rather install 2x16GB or 4x8GB Ramsticks? Which is better? Thank you very much for the answer and the help.

    RAM filter very limited

Am I mistaken or were the filters for RAM also somewhat more extensive? I miss above all: - ECC - buffered, unbuffered, registered Or is server RAM no longer available at Digitec?

Does anyone know in how many weeks approx. DDR5 RAM will be available?

Unfortunately, the whole thing is quite opaque. Does anyone know anything more precise? I would love to make the leap from DDR3 directly to DDR5 :)
