Kamal Hinduja Switzerland(Swiss) : Which is the Best iPhone Model in 2025?
Hi ,
I'm Kamal Hinduja, based in Geneva, Switzerland(Swiss) . Can anyone suggest Which is the Best iPhone Model in 2025?
Thanks, Regards
Kamal Hinduja Geneva, Switzerland
My - already older - Samsung tablet has given up the ghost, the touchscreen no longer responds, so I can neither restart it nor delete data. How can I dispose of it properly? Simply putting it in the electronic waste bin isn't really an option. I want to be sure that my data doesn't fall into the wrong hands (in case a tinkerer somehow manages to access it).
Thanks for any tips!
"iPad 11th generation 2025: Powerful, but without Apple Intelligence - your opinion?"
With the A16 Bionic chip and 6 GB of RAM, the new 11th generation iPad offers a significant increase in performance compared to its predecessor. However, it still lacks support for Apple Intelligence. What do you think of this update and which functions would be decisive for you when choosing an iPad?
After several attempts, it was not possible to make the automatic switch from 11 to 15.
The new 15Pro demanded an update to iOS18.1 and stopped...
On the 4th attempt, I reset the iPhone and started the installation of iOS18.1 without starting a transfer to the new mobile.
After completing the installation of the operating system, I reset the iPhone 15Pro again.
I then started the data transfer from 11 to 15 without any problems!
Dear all
I would like to find a Dumbphone which has Spotify and WhatsApp, do you have any suggestions? I found out that all the Nokia which have KayOS do not support Spotify..
Thanks!
I bought a Nokia G50 from you on 22 Sept. 2022. Now my mobile phone is defective, it keeps crashing or not responding.
I wrote to you on 02 April 2024 and filled out a repair form CUC 6331333.
I have not yet received an answer as to whether I have to send my mobile in or whether it will be collected.
Mcdodo Extreme Series Lightning to USB Type-C adapter compatible with iPhone 15?
Is the Mcdodo adapter compatible with the iPhone 15? I have already bought another adapter that was said to be compatible. However, neither charging nor data transfer is possible with this one. What about the Mcdodo?
It would be a good idea to clearly indicate the number of years the device has been updated on its data sheet.
Oh yes, it's true that there's a lot of talk about saving the planet, but I guess you can't have everything...
But really.
Do these mobiles with the EU version work in Switzerland like any other (except possibly Samsung Pay and Wifi Calling)? No problems with Swiss nano SIM cards from Sunrise, Swisscom etc.? No problems with system and app updates? No problems when using abroad? No problems when connecting to a smartwatch, e.g. from Garmin? Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks in advance for your answers!
External hard drive or USB for IPAD Air 3rd generation (2019)
Hello, I am looking for an external hard drive or USB stick with at least 1 TB for backing up / storing photos of the IPAD Air 3rd generation (2019). Problem: The IPAD of this generation requires hard drives or USB stick with OWN / EXTERNAL power supply. So far I have not found such a product.
I am grateful for tips and ideas.
Best regards, HP Strässler
Hello, does anyone have experience with a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 256GB EU version? Does this mobile with EU version work in Switzerland like any other (except Samsung Pay and Wifi Calling)? No problems with Swiss nano SIM cards from Sunrise, Swisscom etc? No problems with system and app updates? No problems when using abroad? No problems when connecting to a smartwatch, e.g. from Garmin? Thanks in advance for your answers!
Does anyone know an iPhone with these conditions?
Must be about the IPhone X.
For used mobiles only condition A and B.
And no more than 460CHF
I'm looking for a new mobile because mine doesn't work anymore:(
Hello dear Digitec Community
I am a software developer from Switzerland and I am looking for your support for my open source Android project, the Kolibri Launcher.
In order to be able to officially release the launcher in the Google Play Store soon, I need a group of at least 20 testers to participate in an internal test.
The project is completely open-source (GPLv3) and also serves as a showcase for modern Android architecture practices. If you are technically interested, you are welcome to take a look under the bonnet (100% Kotlin, MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).
Core features:
Only for Android 16, the launcher does not contain legacy code for older Android versions.
Minimalist home screen: Only shows time, date, battery and your favourite apps.
Gesture control: A simple swipe upwards opens the app list.
Quick app search: Find any app in no time at all.
Smart sorting: Sort apps alphabetically or by frequency of use.
Dynamic themes: Text colours automatically adapt to your wallpaper.
App Management: Hide apps and manage favourites.
Light & fast: Trimmed for performance and a smooth experience.
How can you take part as a beta tester?
The process runs officially via the Google Play Console. This means that you do not download the app as a separate APK file, but receive it directly and securely via the Play Store, including future updates.
This is how it works:
Sign up as a tester: I need the email address of your Google account so that I can invite you. The easiest way to do this is via this short Google form:
https://forms.gle/sJsrrtyLDG...
Important: it must be the Google email you use in the PlayStore.
Receive invitation: I will add your email address to the list of internal testers in the Play Console.
I will then send you the official Google link with the invitation from Google. Unfortunately, this is the official procedure for internal tests.
Install the app: Click on the link in the email, accept the invitation and download the Kolibri Launcher directly from the Google Play Store.
Important about data protection:
Your email address will only be used to add you once to the tester list in the Google Play Console and to send you the link. It will not be used for anything else, will not be saved and will not be passed on.
Your feedback is crucial!
After installation, I would be delighted to receive your feedback on stability, bugs or feature requests. You can give me feedback directly as an "issue" on GitHub or simply post it here in the thread.
https://github.com/reygnn...
This will help me to overcome the last hurdles before the official release. Many thanks in advance for your great support!
Best regards

Unfortunately I can't take a screenshot and publish what is written.
Is Digitec able to unlock my USB key at a reasonable price?
Most devices are too unergonomic, too big (e.g. Galaxy A55) and too heavy and don't have rounded, handy corners like the beloved Blackberry. The rubber surface on the back was also practical in everyday use.
G5 standard it should be. At least 256 GB, at least 8 GB RAM, Android preferably 14 or 15, and a good update policy (the Blackberry had a miserable update policy). Unfortunately, the keyboard is no longer available.
I need it primarily for swiping (learning) and creating (writing) flashcards with one hand, in addition to the usual functions.
Here are the dimensions of the Blackberry: 150.3 x 71.8 x 8.4 mm and the weight: 156 g.
In outlook: Moto Edge 50 Fusion G5, Moto Edge 50 Neo G5 (small form factor), Redmi Note 14 G5
Hello everyone
As I now only have extremely poor phone reception with my Samsung S24 and GPS has actually been "going to the moon" since the beginning, I'm looking for a mobile that I can still use to make calls in 2025! I have put my SIM card (Talktalk) back into my old Oppo Reno 4 and can actually make calls again without interruption or even establish a connection at all... So it's definitely the mobile and NOT the network. Somehow I have the feeling that the connection quality on the S24 has become subterranean, especially since the June 25 update.
What mobile can you recommend? Are there any flagship phones that you can still make calls with?
Hello everyone, especially Hello Digitec
I find the new information or the "ranking list" for device repairs a good additional information when I evaluate a new device.
What I am missing as a filter criterion, especially for smartphones and tablets, is a date field with "Security patches at least available until xx.yy.zzzz".
How do you see this?
Resp. @digitec: Is something like this coming? Couldn't you ask the manufacturer for this information in the same way as for "size", battery life", etc.?
TLTR: Looking for new mobile, Android, price max. 1000, camera at least as good as Huawei P30 Pro (5x optical zoom/10x hybrid), display as insensitive/long-lasting as possible so that no images burn in, NO curved display, battery MUST last 2 days with normal use.
Hello together
I'm looking for a worthy replacement for my Huawei P30 Pro.
Must be an Android phone! Preferably priced between 500-800 francs but if there is something that is technically so very convincing I can up the budget to 1000.
As I use the same app a lot, after 4.5 years a picture has unfortunately become permanently burnt onto the display. As the phone is already "old", I would like to replace it completely.
The display should therefore be as durable as possible. Do you think it's worth opting for Amoled?
The most important thing for me with the phone is the camera. With the 5x optical zoom, the P30Pro fulfils my needs. This zoom function is sometimes very important to me. The new phone should therefore offer at least an equally good camera with an identically good optical zoom (or have solved the whole thing technically so well that there is no difference with the digital zoom). I think the other technical details are of little importance to the 0815 user. The difference will probably rarely be noticeable in daily use and will minimally correspond to the standard of a 4.5 year old Huawei. I would prefer to have a Huawei again, but without Google Services it's a no-go for me and I don't want to "hack" it either.
At first I considered the Xiaomi 13 Pro / Xiaomi 13 T Pro and the Oppo Find X5... Are there any other candidates? Is the Xiaomi 13 Pro justifiably so much more expensive than the 13 T Pro? Is this surcharge worth it?
Thank you very much!
Hello together
After 6.5 years it's about time for a new smartphone, my old CAT S41 has unfortunately started to show signs of wear and tear.
Since Bullitt has gone bankrupt, a new CAT is unfortunately out of the question, otherwise I would have gone for the S62.
What am I looking for?
- Rugged > normal mobile and protective case doesn't work for me.
- Thermal imaging camera > I could always use it from time to time but I want an integrated one as I'm sure that if I always need it then I wouldn't have it with me as an external/attachable one.
- Android preferably stock.
You can never really have enough computing power, but realistically anything that has more than my old S41 and runs smoothly will do.
I've already looked around myself and got stuck with AGM and Ulefone, but are these brands recommendable?
Unfortunately, the internet is not too informative and usually only the bad stuff ends up on the net.
Many thanks for your help
Hello everyone, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G and I notice that notifications from various apps arrive late, except when the device is charging. Whatsapp notifications, however, always work instantly. I'm almost certain that it must have something to do with some battery-saving functions. I have already allowed the relevant apps to run in the background without restrictions. I have also deactivated the intelligent battery as a test. Apart from higher battery consumption, nothing has changed. What else could I try?
Hello!
With regards to Digitec's current discounts on Samsung mobile phones, I would like to purchase a Z FOLD 5. Given the frequent display failures on this phone, I'm wondering if Digitec's warranty covers any damage not caused to the phone's display. I'm also interested in the 150-franc insurance you're offering on the Z FOLD 5. I don't understand this insurance, how much is covered, and is there also an excess, or for 150 francs I have total security on the phone's screen.
Thanks for the clarification!
Best regards!

Digitec unlawfully steps out of its obligations when a promotional item becomes expensive between order and delivery. In doing so, they rely on an "obvious price error" in order not to fulfil their obligation under the law of obligations. In the case of electronic articles, a promotion with 14% and more is not uncommon.
Here are the proven facts: Sunday 28 August I get an email from Digitec saying that a product on my watch list has become 14% cheaper. I go to the Digitec website and the product is indeed offered at a discount of 14%, which is also within the usual range for promotions. I order the item straight away, and because I want to be nice, I voluntarily choose slow delivery. I get the confirmation at 09:31 and on Monday, 29 August, the order appears as "ready for dispatch". Now, one day later, on Tuesday 30 August, I receive an e-mail from Digitec announcing that the order will be cancelled. It would be due to an "obvious price error". This wording is for legal reasons, so that Digitec can get out of the obligation, but 14% on an electronics item is not at all unusual and therefore cannot be an obvious error. I write Digitec an email because I do not agree with the cancellation at all. I don't get an answer, but in the evening Digitec has cancelled the order on its own authority.
Hello,
I recently bought a xiaomi 13t pro. I had started to set it up quietly before making the change with my current smartphone, I switched it off to continue a few days later, and now it's impossible to unlock it.
Even though I'd registered my fingerprint, it still asks me for a password to unlock it, even though I don't have one...
And when I click on "forgot password", the procedure doesn't work.
What should I do to access my phone? I had just put my fingerprints on to avoid this kind of problem, but it doesn't seem to help.
Thanks in advance for your help.
