The E297 installation relays are electromagnetically operated miniature relays with a width of 18 mm (1 module unit). These installation relays enable reliable control of consumers. Typically, the installation relays are used with a control switch (maintained contact) in applications where lighting, air conditioning, fans, or similar devices need to be controlled. The device remains in the ON position as long as the control voltage is applied to the coil. If the control voltage is interrupted, the installation relay always returns to the resting position (OFF position). Due to their optimal switching performance, they are also suitable for applications in industrial environments and situations where it is necessary to maintain control over higher-power consumers (such as multiple lighting groups). The use of an optimized coil (low power loss = lower operating temperature) ensures interference-free and safe operation in electrical distribution boards. The quiet switching noises and the hum-free magnetic system also justify their use in public buildings and private households. Depending on the type, the installation relays can be controlled with common AC/DC control voltages and are designed for a rated current of 16 A.
