T16 are economical electromechanical motor protection devices for currents up to 16 A. In the event of overload, they provide reliable thermal protection for the connected motors. T16 are typically mounted on small contactors B/BC or AS-/ASL contactors, but with the help of a standalone mounting kit, the devices can also be installed separately on a DIN rail. When the motor current set on the current scale is exceeded, the relays trigger via bimetallic elements, thereby changing the switching position of the two auxiliary contacts 1S/1Ö. A preceding contactor is then switched off. The relays allow for manual or automatic reset, feature test and stop functions, and have a triggered indicator. An additional reset button allows operation without opening the control cabinet. T16 have a tripping class of 10, are temperature-compensated, and sensitive to phase failure.
