This next-generation memory module operates at just 1.1 V, making it 8% more energy efficient than DDR4. It also has an integrated Power Management IC (PMIC) to improve the stability of the power supply.

Capacity doubled
The architecture of this memory module enables more memory bank groups and banks. More bank groups can be integrated into the module with the same surface area, which doubles the capacity compared to DDR4 and offers you higher capacities.

Improved stability
With on-die error correction code (ECC), this module can automatically correct errors in real time to increase stability and reliability.

DDR5 U-DIMM modules have the same dimensions and the same number of pins as DDR4 modules. The most obvious difference is the position of the mismatch notch. DDR5 integrates I/O resistors with CMD/ADD resistors, and the appearance of DDR5 modules is cleaner than that of DDR4. In addition, a PMIC is visible in the centre.
