Product details
The AKG C451 B is a small diaphragm condenser microphone designed for recording acoustic guitar, percussion, hi-hat, choirs, and as an overhead microphone. Its sound is open and airy with a subtle presence boost for soft and finely resolved highs. It particularly impresses with its naturalness when used with drums.
The cardioid polar pattern effectively rejects sound from the sides and rear, allowing instruments to remain free from the influence of other sound sources even in loud environments. This also increases feedback resistance on stage.
The AKG C451 B offers a high maximum sound pressure level, ensuring distortion-free recording of loud sound sources. Additionally, the sensitivity can be further reduced in two stages. The lightweight diaphragm makes the capsule insensitive to vibrations and noise from the stand. Two high-pass filters help suppress low-frequency noise and compensate for the proximity effect.
Included are a stand adapter, windscreen, and a microphone bag.
