A versatile microphone for many applications

The previous models of the C1000S already impressed as all-rounders for reporting, stage, or studio use. Even without phantom power options, the C1000S is always ready for use thanks to its internal battery supply. In the new MK-IV version, the battery life in battery operation increases to up to 120 hours, powered by 2 AA cells. The battery indicator shows the charge status and warns one hour before the power supply runs low.

Presence boost for better speech intelligibility

Another included converter, the Presence Boost Adapter, enhances speech intelligibility and emphasizes the presence of acoustic instruments through a level increase between 5 and 9 kHz. A -10dB PAD switch prevents internal overloads at high sound pressure and allows use with loud instruments like brass or drums. The switchable low-cut filter at 80 Hz suppresses footstep noise and rumble. Whether used as an overhead pair for drum recording, as a brass microphone, for capturing acoustic guitar, or as a vocal and speech microphone, the AKG C1000S delivers excellent results.
