Alfa Realtek RTL8188RU Wi-Fi Adapter

The Realtek Long-Range USB Wi-Fi Adapter features a 5dBi RP-SMA antenna for the 2.4GHz frequency band. This wireless USB adapter allows users to establish wireless networks at speeds of up to 150 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band, while remaining compatible with devices operating at 54 Mbps. The USB Wi-Fi adapter can be configured in ad-hoc mode to connect to other 2.4 GHz wireless computers or in infrastructure mode to connect to a wireless access point or router for Internet access.

Included with the USB Wi-Fi adapter is a convenient utility for scanning available networks and saving preferred networks. The utility also allows users to configure security encryption.
