The batteries have a high capacity and simultaneously a low self-discharge rate. They are ideal for use in flashlights, toys, model building, gaming consoles, digital cameras, flash units, and more. Thanks to their high cycle stability, the NiMH cells can be recharged up to 1000 times. The batteries can be charged with a high current, allowing for very short charging times. They are also usable at temperatures ranging from -20 to +50 °C. Since NiMH batteries can generally be used anywhere disposable batteries are used, they are not only environmentally friendly but also cost-effective. The self-discharge rate is ten times lower than that of standard NiMH batteries. After one year, around 80% of the initial capacity is still available. This has been achieved through a special separator that drastically reduces unwanted internal current flow. The batteries are delivered pre-charged and are ready for immediate use.
