For connecting a fan with 3-pin Molex connector (CPU cooler, case fan etc.) directly to the power supply. This adapter allows the operation of a fan with 7 volts instead of 12 volts, which leads to a noise reduction. The great advantage of this adapter is that the speed of the fan can still be monitored. Please note that the speed of rotation of the fan will be lower and therefore the air flow rate will be reduced
