The ART Tube MP/C is a microphone preamplifier with an integrated compressor and helpful features. The device offers two independent circuits with a tube-based analog preamplifier and an optical compression circuit. It is equipped with a hand-selected 12AX7a tube, which provides excellent sound characteristics. The Tube MP/C preamp can be used as a mic/line preamplifier as well as a DI box. For the XLR input, +48V phantom power can be activated if needed to operate condenser microphones. Various instruments can be connected via the 6.3 mm jack input. The level can be adjusted using the +20 dB gain button if necessary. The LED display shows information about tube drive, gain reduction, and output level. The compressor can be adjusted using the speed and slope buttons, as well as the threshold control - it can be deactivated or bypassed using the OPTO-COMP button. Power is supplied via the included power supply.
