Overview

The USBDI captures USB audio signals, converts them into analog audio signals, and then isolates the output using special transformers. The output isolation is key to eliminating ground loops and other system disturbances between the digital and analog audio systems.

A large rotary knob on the front panel of the USBDI allows for quick and precise control of the output level, while a separate headphone output gives the user the ability to monitor the system. With the main output switch on the front, the user can keep the isolated outputs at a fixed level while controlling the level of the headphone output.

The XLR outputs with line level are available for connection to all types of systems. The main outputs are always isolated but allow the user to control the grounding reference to reduce noise.

The USBDI is powered via USB, consumes less than 200 mA, and eliminates the need for an external power source.
