The IEEE 802.3at standard provides a maximum of 25.4 Watts of power per PoE port with a voltage of up to 50 Volts. After line losses, 21.90 Watts of usable power remain to avoid exceeding the maximum power output. A Cat5e/6 cable with a maximum length of 100 m is recommended for PoE.
