The AT-LP70XBT sounds pleasantly natural and balanced; warm and powerful in the mids, mild in the highs and with a spatial imaging that goes beyond the usual in this price range. Although there is a lack of structure and definition in complex passages, the overall result is a harmonious, unobtrusive sound that can easily compete with significantly more expensive devices in the test field...

Product details
The wireless automatic turntable AT-LP70XBT is the perfect partner for entering the world of vinyl records. It combines the typically warm analog sound with the advantages of Bluetooth technology, allowing you to listen to your records through wireless speakers, headphones, and other Bluetooth devices, with support for the high-quality audio codec Qualcomm aptX Adaptive. This user-friendly turntable is suitable for LPs and singles (33-1/3 and 45 RPM) and features not only wireless Bluetooth technology but also a built-in, switchable phono preamp for connecting to a stereo system, active speakers, or other devices with or without their own phono input.
The wireless Bluetooth turntable AT-LP70XBT easily connects to active speakers and headphones, enabling automatic playback of LPs and singles (33⅓ and 45 RPM) with just the push of a button. Since the AT-VM95C cartridge is firmly integrated into the J-shaped tonearm, it does not need to be installed, balanced, or adjusted.
The AT-VM95C Integral Dual Moving Magnet cartridge can be combined with all stylus options from the VM95 series. This means that the stylus can not only be replaced when needed but can also be upgraded to a higher-quality model for even better sound.

- Pleasant, natural sound
- Good running smoothness
- Simple commissioning
- Tonearm bearing has play
- Sound could be more structured in complex passages
Analogue records are the most expensive way to enjoy music. Not just because of the price of LPs. But also because you can't build good players as cheaply as you like. The Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT is not far away from the very affordable entry-level models in terms of price. But it works incomparably better, sounds flawless, is very comfortably equipped and can even grow in quality with the demands...
- Solid basic sound for vinyl beginners
- Reliable fully automatic system
- Good phono preamp with Bluetooth function
- Motor makes noise
- No tonearm adjustment options
The Audio-Technica AT-LP7OXBT impressed with its ease of use when tested. Plug it in, switch it on and off you go! It couldn't be simpler. The fully automatic function is great, and the features are also impressive. With some compromises, the sound is also okay. Ideal for budding vinyl fans.
- Very simple operation with fully automatic operation
- Bluetooth
- Pickup not interchangeable (but very simple needle insertion)
Although the Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT is around 50 euros more expensive than its popular brother LP60XBT, it can actually do everything better: it gets cleaner sounds out of the record grooves, and its significantly better mounted tonearm no longer causes the needle to jump. For the same price, the Pro-Ject Primary E, for example, offers slightly better sound, but not in combination with full automation...
