The 8-inch compound drive system of the AS 85.3 SC features an aluminum-graphite cone, the latest Wave surround, a magnesium die-cast basket, and a ferrite magnet with a copper ring, working subtly to secure a solid bass foundation. The AS 85.3 SC operates on a bass reflex system with a front-firing bass reflex port, guaranteeing a compact design without sound compromises. Thanks to the front-firing bass reflex port, placement near a wall is easily achievable. The compact, timeless cube design, along with the solid cabinet construction, provides the foundation for a breathtaking home theater experience. With the switchable room adaptation, the sound can be perfectly tailored to the room acoustics and personal listening habits. The cabinet surface is available in black and white vinyl decor and is equipped with an acoustically neutral metal cover.

The newly developed powerful amplifier of the AS 85.3 SC also features high and low-level inputs, controls for volume, phase adjustment, crossover frequency (50 to 200 Hz), and a convenient automatic power-on function. For connecting an additional subwoofer, the amplifier is also equipped with a low-level output. An acoustically neutral metal cover further enhances the AS 85.3 SC and provides the necessary protection for the speaker systems without affecting the sound of the speakers.
