The D14HB-W fans are not only supposed to look good, but above all to supply game computers reliably and quietly with sufficient cooling air. Cougar therefore relies on the latest technologies, comprehensive equipment and attractive looks. The patented fan blade design of the black transparent blades reduces turbulences and thus the noise level while maintaining high performance. The two-stage airfoil used with the airfoils known as claws resembles the wings of modern commercial aircraft. Less turbulence, less drag, less noise for the same performance are always desired in the PC as well: Cougar fans convey more air with less noise emission than standard fans.

In addition, Cougar prevents ambient noise and structure-borne sound, which further reduces the noise level of the entire computer: the hydraulic bearing (Hydraulich Bearing) used ensures particularly smooth running. HB fans, unlike ball bearing and simple plain bearing models, therefore run extremely quietly over the entire operating period. The enclosed rubber pins for tool-free installation also effectively decouple the fans from the housing. The transmission of structure-borne noise can thus be minimized.
