Nearly ten years ago, a version of Das Keyboard was released that had no key markings at all. This latest version maintains the same basic principle but adds new features. The Das Keyboard Ultimate 4 includes Cherry's renowned MX Blue switches, and the keyboard features a larger European Enter key compared to its American counterpart.

At the right edge of the keyboard, there is a control dial that allows adjusting the computer's volume. To the left, there are standard multimedia keys, which include play, pause, rewind, and skip to different tracks. Next to all of these is a button that can put the computer into sleep mode.

Behind the control dial are two USB 3.0 ports that enable the keyboard to function as a USB hub. This is particularly beneficial for computers that have limited connections. The Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate fully supports N-key rollover, also known as 100% anti-ghosting. This means that the keyboard registers all simultaneous key presses.

Included is a rubber riser that can elevate the keyboard to a more ergonomic angle. This is magnetically attached to the bottom of the keyboard. However, the features do not end here, as the riser can also be used as a 400 mm long ruler. The keyboard comes with an exceptionally long USB cable, which measures two meters.
