The Dell QSFP28 transceiver provides fiber optic connectivity to extend network reach. This hot-pluggable transceiver, compliant with the QSFP28 (Quad Form Factor Pluggable) specification, features an MPO-12 connector. The Dell Networking 100GbE-SR4 QSFP28 transceiver offers 100GbE connectivity for distances of up to 100 meters.

Additionally, it includes a unique advanced digital interface for monitoring and diagnostics, allowing real-time access to operational parameters such as device temperature, laser input idle current, emitted optical power, received optical power, and supply voltage.
