Cost-effective high-bandwidth 10GbE SFP+ copper connection. The EA1 10G SFP+ DAC series consists of a copper cable with SFP+ connectors at both ends. It is more affordable than an optical 10G transceiver and supports connections with a data transfer rate of up to 10 Gbps. Servers and network devices can be directly connected to ToR (Top-of-Rack) switches, resulting in direct cost savings.

High performance and reliability. Compatible with SFP+ MSA. The SFP+ 10G DAC cable complies with the current specifications SFF-8431, SFF-8432, and SFP+ MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) and is compatible with products from EDIMAX and other brands featuring standard SFP+/SFP ports. This opens up numerous options for maximum performance and reliability.

High compatibility. Backward compatible with SFP (1 Gbps). The EA1 series is backward compatible with SFP (1 Gbps). It allows for connections with shorter distances and higher density between network devices such as network switches, servers, Network Attached Storage (NAS), storage area networks, NICs (PCI-E adapters), data centers, or high-performance computing.

Easy plug-and-play. Supports hot-pluggable SFP+. Both ends are equipped with plug-and-play as well as hot-pluggable or the aforementioned hot-swap-capable SFP+ connectors. No configuration is required, and devices do not need to be powered down or put into a waiting state when the transceivers are plugged in or removed. This reduces downtime.
