The Eizo FlexScan EV2490 has no weaknesses whatsoever and, as promised, serves every office scenario excellently. However, it is not cheap.
The EV2360 features a 22.5-inch IPS panel, the smallest among EIZO's frameless models. This compact monitor has a width of just 499 mm and a high native resolution of 1920 x 1200. It displays 11% more content than a conventional Full HD monitor (1920 x 1080), reducing the need for scrolling in many applications. The EIZO EcoView Optimizer lowers power consumption by up to 30% by reducing the brightness of the backlight and increasing signal amplification. To ensure image quality, the EcoView Optimizer function only increases signal amplification when the screen predominantly displays dark content, as the associated reduction in brightness is nearly imperceptible. The current FlexScan models are among the first monitors in the world to meet the stringent TCO Certified Generation 8 standard. These models also comply with strict international guidelines for ergonomics and energy savings, such as EPEAT, EPA Energy Star, and TÜV/Ergonomics.

The EIZO EV2490 is the top model in the Office FlexScan series of 24-inch displays in 16:9 format. Like the other devices in the series, it offers a very high-quality finish designed for durability and industry-leading ergonomic features. The main difference to the EIZO EV2480 is connectivity...
The Eizo FlexScan EV2490 adds a little extra where the EV2485 had weaknesses: KVM, LAN port and the daisy chain function. Surprisingly, the EV2490 costs only marginally more at the start. However, some of the weaknesses remain to keep the price down. The Full HD resolution will not make everyone happy and the touch buttons remain as well...
If you are looking for a sustainably produced office monitor that is designed for durability, the EIZO EV2485 is the right choice. Those who already know the review of the EIZO EV2495 will hardly be surprised. Both devices are very similar and differ on paper mainly in connectivity...
The Eizo FlexScan EV2485 is sensitively expensive, but delivers top performance in terms of image quality, features and energy efficiency.
Eizo is not taking any risks with the EV2485, but delivers well-known quality in a compact format. By compromising on the resolution and some missing features, the screen is able to position itself on the market at a price that is hardly known from Eizo. In terms of resolution, however, this could be the screen's undoing, as many users nowadays want more than Full HD, even if the benefits are reduced...
