The ESI M8U eX is an extremely powerful USB 3.0 MIDI interface with 16 intelligent MIDI ports. Each of the MIDI ports can be used as either an input or output, allowing for a wide range of configurations. For example, all 16 ports can be used simultaneously as inputs or outputs. Alternatively, you can use 12 as outputs and 4 as inputs, depending on the required setup. The best part is that the M8U eX automatically detects whether the port is being used as an input or output. It is also worth noting that the ESI M8U eX functions standalone, without the need for a computer, with power supplied by the included power adapter. When connected to a computer, no additional power supply is needed.
