Zinc chloride battery Eveready 996 4R25. This zinc chloride battery offers high performance for significantly longer life than zinc carbon batteries. Pin and socket contacts are clearly marked, and the minus terminal is covered with a plastic cap. It contains 0% mercury and cadmium. This battery is most commonly used for lanterns and torches and is suitable for incandescent bulb and switch applications in education. It is ideal for any traffic control lighting as well as for construction sites and roads. Equivalent sizes include 4R25 and 996.
