Audio monitoring is also possible, thanks to the built-in speakers and 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack. The compact size and light weight allow it to be taken to virtually any location. Additionally, the installation of a VESA-75 compatible mount is possible, as the field monitor has mounting holes on the back. Professional functions make your work much easier.

The menu control is intuitive and simple. On top of the monitor, you have the complete button layout for making settings. Two different function keys can be programmed to different functions, making work even easier. If necessary, you can use a key combination to set the image reversal function, allowing the screen to flip quickly if the image is reversed. The previously set parameters are retained the next time you switch on the unit. Simple and fast is the motto of the field monitor.

The FW279 has a 4K HDMI input and output that can not only display live signals but also send them to other monitors simultaneously. This allows you to view live images on multiple displays without affecting picture quality. You have the option of operating the monitor with a mains cable (available as an option) or with a rechargeable battery. For use with a rechargeable battery, you will also need an optional additional Sony-compatible F970 rechargeable battery.

When you switch off the monitor, you must press the mains switch and not pull out the mains cable directly; otherwise, settings may be lost or the unit may even be damaged.
