FiiO

The FiiO DM13 BT is a portable CD player that combines retro charm with modern technology and has been specially designed for music lovers who want to rediscover their CD collection without having to compromise on modern convenience. As well as classic CD playback, the DM13 BT supports a wide range of digital audio formats such as MP3, FLAC, WAV and WMA, offering great flexibility in use. Particularly noteworthy is the DM13 BT’s Bluetooth function, which supports aptX HD and aptX Low Latency for wireless, lossless transmission to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

The front panel of the DM13 features 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm headphone sockets. The DM13 BT also offers connection options for active speakers, amplifiers or DACs. The CD inserted into the player is visible through the transparent window in the lid of the DM13 BT. With its compact design and robust aluminium construction, the DM13 BT is suitable not only for mobile use but also for stationary use. The electronic shock protection prevents interruptions to music playback whilst on the move, and the option to power the player directly via desktop mode helps conserve the battery during prolonged use. The built-in battery provides up to 10 hours of uninterrupted playback, enabling long listening sessions on the move.

Another highlight of the DM13 BT is the CD ripper function, which allows CDs to be converted into lossless WAV files and saved to a USB storage device. Seamless playback, the ability to save favourites, and the well-designed control system with a clear LCD display make the FiiO DM13 BT the ideal companion for anyone who wants to get the most out of their music collection.

Audio formats

An audio format is a medium for storing sound and music. The term is applied to both the physical recording media and the recording formats of the audio content – in computer science it is often limited to the audio file format, but its wider use usually refers to the physical method used to store the data.
Music is recorded and distributed using a variety of audio formats, some of which store additional information.
