The Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite ATX mainboard features a PCI Express 3.0 slot with full x16 connectivity for graphics cards and a PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot with x4 connectivity. The motherboard provides two
additional PCIe-2.0 x1 slots for additional expansion cards. The four RAM banks support up to 64 GB DDR4 memory with a clock rate of up to 2,667 megahertz and can even clock rates of up to 3,200 MHz per OC.
Two M.2 slots with PCIe connection are provided by the AM4 mainboard. One is connected to the chipset with four PCIe lanes and the SATA protocol. M.2 SSDs with advanced NVM Express protocol (NVMe) and four PCI Express 3.0 lane connectivity are up to eight times faster than SATA 6G hard drives and support data transfer rates of up to 32 Gbps. One of the slots has an integrated heatspreader. One accommodates plug-in cards up to 110 mm (22110), the other can be equipped with smaller 2280-M.2 plug-in cards.
The Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite provides four USB 3.0 ports with Type A jack on the I/O bezel. For CPUs with an integrated graphics unit such as AMD's Raven Ridge, a DVI-D slot is available in addition to an HDMI slot.
