Honeywell has designed the Voyager Extreme Performance (XP) 1470g specifically for retail work environments. It captures not only all common 1D and 2D barcodes but also DotCodes and digital coupons from smartphones or tablets. It reliably and quickly scans even damaged or hard-to-read barcodes, saving significant time. Thanks to its extended scanning range, it can securely capture inaccessible barcodes. The scanner has a motion tolerance of 70 cm/s, with a horizontal scan angle of 39.2° and a vertical scan angle of 27.4°. The 2D scanner can withstand multiple drops from heights of up to 1.8 meters and is protected against the ingress of foreign objects up to 1 mm according to its IP40 certification. It ensures consistent performance with interfaces including USB, Keyboard Wedge (KBW), RS-232, and RS-485, supporting IBM 46XX. Another advantage is its full backward compatibility with existing Voyager accessories, significantly reducing overall operating costs as there are no additional expenses for optional accessories.
