The HP LPe1205A is a PCI-Express-based 8-Gb FC mezzanine card of type A, compatible with HP ProLiant BladeSystem c-Class servers. It stands out for its high reliability, exceptional performance, enhanced security, NPIV on the server side, and scalable management for virtual server applications and enterprise-class applications. The dual-channel design is ideal for mission-critical applications where highly available connections are essential.

The HP LPe1205A, featuring Emulex firmware and driver architecture, is designed for complete driver compatibility with all Emulex HBAs. This architecture allows for firmware updates without taking the server offline or requiring a reboot, nor does it necessitate driver updates. Like all Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel HBAs, the HP LPe1205 is managed through the Emulex OneCommand Manager (OCM), providing a secure, centralized management console to detect and manage Emulex Fibre Channel HBAs on local and remote hosts.
