Micro-USB is the smallest connector type of USB, designed to accommodate increasingly smaller devices such as smartphones, mobile phones, PDAs, and digital cameras. There are two connector types: Micro-A (rectangular shape, for the host side) and Micro-B (trapezoidal shape, for the device side). Micro-B is the most common connector type, which manufacturers of mobile devices have agreed upon as the standard.
