The C505e is a webcam with 720p HD video and a long-range microphone that enables clear, natural-sounding conversations from up to 3 meters away. The especially long USB-A cable (2 m) offers versatile mounting options.

Upgrade from your built-in laptop camera to a webcam that delivers sharp, smooth, and natural-looking video quality with a 720p/30 FPS HD widescreen resolution. The C505e provides a diagonal 60° field of view, a fixed focus, and automatic light adjustment for any conference room.

The single, omnidirectional microphone features noise cancellation and is designed to clearly transmit everything said from up to 3 meters away, even in noisy environments like open workspaces and classrooms.

Thanks to the particularly long USB-A cable (2 m) and a universal clip, the C505e offers various mounting options. You can easily attach it to a laptop or external monitor, or securely mount it on a shelf or bracket up to 2 meters away from your computer.

Key specifications

Image sensor resolution

The image sensor resolution results from the number of pixels in millions. For most applications, a resolution of 12-16 megapixels is sufficient. A larger resolution has advantages especially for post-processing, because more image information is available.

Refresh rate

Indicates how often the image on the screen is updated per second. A higher refresh rate results in a smoother and more responsive image.

Image resolution

Image resolution is a colloquial measure of the image size of a raster graphic. It is indicated by the total number of pixels or by the number of columns (width) and rows (height) of a raster graphic.

Package dimensions

The camera delivers a 720p resolution at 30 fps, which is below the common Full HD standard and sufficient for basic video conferences.

Entry-level video resolution standard

The omnidirectional microphone captures voices from a distance of up to 3 m and filters out background noise for clear voice transmission.

Microphone system for longer distances

The fixed focus and the diagonal field of view of 60° require a consistent distance to the camera, as there is no automatic focus adjustment for individual objects.
