As an evolution of the award-winning CD6006, the finely tuned CD player CD6007 features even more carefully selected components and an improved circuit layout. The rigid feet reduce vibrations, while the generously sized low-noise power supply powers the player's digital and analog circuits. The high-quality D/A converter AK4490 offers two selectable digital filters for highly precise conversion of digital to analog signals. These signals are routed to the gold-plated outputs via Marantz's own developed discrete operational amplifiers HDAM-SA2. The included remote control can also operate the matching amplifier PM6007. The CD6007 is equipped with a newly developed, sophisticated headphone amplifier with impedance control, allowing for the use of different types of headphones.
Marantz has developed its own discrete circuits to replace conventional ICs. These HDAMs (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) consist of discrete components with short identical signal paths for the right and left channels. HDAMs serve the same function as conventional IC operational amplifiers but far exceed them with their high throughput and reduced noise, resulting in a more dynamic, precise, and detailed sound. The CD6007 is equipped with the improved HDAM-SA2 circuit, which ensures an even more stable power supply.
