MikroTik

The MikroTik wAP ac LTE package is a small, weatherproof dual-band Wi-Fi access point designed for outdoor installation in environments such as gardens, patios, or other challenging areas where a reliable wireless connection is needed. With two Gigabit ports, you can use the integrated LTE modem as a backup connection for a fixed network. This new version features an improved LTE modem, better connectivity, and the popular 700 MHz frequency.

The wAP ac LTE package is weatherproof and can be mounted internally on any exterior wall of the housing, providing added security and a less visible installation. The bottom can also be secured with a special vandal-proof screw that can only be opened by the owner. On the back of the housing, there is a hole that allows the Ethernet cable to be routed directly through the back of the device and the wall, making the wAP less conspicuous and better blending into the environment.

Key specifications

Operating modes

Describes the function the device plays within the network, for example as a central transmitter, amplifier or connection bridge. A device can often support several modes.

Number of RJ45/LAN ports

Max. port speed

Describes the maximum data transfer rate. Is not necessarily supported by all ports.

Access Point Functions

Wi-Fi standard

Indicates which Wi-Fi protocol a device supports. Newer standards offer higher data transfer speeds and greater stability. A compatible router is required to use this feature.

Wi-Fi frequency band

The frequency band of a WLAN signal describes how many 2.4GHz or 5GHz signals the router can send simultaneously.

A router that uses dual- or even tri-band technology can better distribute the load in the network and thus rarely reaches its limit in terms of WLAN speed.
