This optical module was designed for use with the adapter module AX743 in one of the high-speed module bays of the Netgear switches GSM72xxPS and GSM73xxS. With the installed adapter module, the high-speed module bay can be used with standard 10GBASE-X SFP modules, providing these with fiber connectivity at a speed of 10 Gbps.
