Amiibo are interactive figures and cards that interact with your games. By scanning an Amiibo while playing compatible Nintendo 3DS or Wii U software, you can discover surprising new features. Amiibo have different effects depending on the game: you can unlock new modes, weapons, or character customizations, or enhance your Amiibo's abilities to make them perfect partners or strong opponents.

With the Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer (sold separately), you can also use Amiibo on Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, you can train Amiibo to become strong allies or fierce enemies. It is possible to use an Amiibo as a fighter and battle with or against it. The more battles a fighter engages in, the better they become. They can even adopt strategies from opponents they encounter.

Start the party! In Mario Party 10, you can use any compatible Amiibo in the game in Amiibo Party mode. Your Amiibo will then become a character and bring surprises.
