Bring your island to life
Create Mii characters to inhabit the island. You can base them on all sorts of people: your family and friends, people you admire – or you can make up your own character. You can customise your Mii characters in a variety of ways, including their personality traits, quirks and appearance. There are even facial features available that are exclusive to this game.

Nurture the community
When you pick up Mii characters and place them next to one another, they’ll spend time together. You can watch as your characters form unexpected friendships, have arguments, fall in love spontaneously (and then drift apart) and so much more. The more you look after your Mii characters, the better you’ll get to know them. Give them food, outfits and presents – and, most importantly, always be there to offer them advice and support as they navigate the ups and downs of island life. You can even teach them words and phrases, which they’ll then add to their vocabulary.

Design the surroundings
You can expand and redesign the island however you like. Place houses, shops, restaurants and other meeting places where your islanders can while away the time. Want your characters to feel particularly at home? Redecorate their rooms and choose the furnishings, wallpaper and flooring that suit them. Those who enjoy crafting can also make their own brand-new items in the workshop. There, you can design everything from unique house facades and floor coverings to pets, food, clothing and more. Your Mii characters are sure to love all your creations.
