Maximum RAM technology in GB with 1 CPU:

• RDIMM 2Rank: 192GB RAM (12 x 16GB RDIMM)
• LRDIMM: 384GB RAM (12 x 32GB LRDIMM)

Maximum RAM technology in GB with 2 CPUs:

• RDIMM 2Rank: 384GB RAM (24 x 16GB RDIMM)
• LRDIMM: 768GB RAM (24 x 32GB LRDIMM)

ECC DIMM, Registered DIMM, and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know what memory is already installed or upgrade completely to RDIMM memory.

Principles of memory configuration:
There are 4 memory channels per CPU, each with 3 memory slots. ECC DIMM, Registered DIMM, and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. When using ECC UDIMM memory, only 2 out of 3 memory slots per memory channel can be populated.

Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated.

Memory configuration for good system performance: Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs. If more than one CPU is present, the memory per CPU should be identical (mirrored to the other CPU).
