• UDIMM ECC 8GB RAM: 12 slots, maximum capacity 96GB
• RDIMM 16GB RAM: 12 slots, maximum capacity 192GB
• RDIMM 32GB RAM: 12 slots, maximum capacity 384GB

UDIMM ECC memory and RDIMM (Registered) server memory cannot be used together. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already installed or upgrade completely to RDIMM memory.

Principles of Memory Configuration:

• The memory slots are organized in groups of three.
• Each group of three can have a maximum of 2 slots for UDIMM ECC memory.
• Each group of three can have a maximum of 2 slots for 4Rank RDIMM memory.
• The different groups of three slots do not need to have the same capacities.
• Only the memory slots that have the respective CPU present can be used.

Memory Configuration for Good System Performance:

• Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs.
• With three identical memory modules per group of three slots, performance can be up to three times faster compared to filling the group with just one memory module.
• If more than one CPU is present, the memory should be configured identically (mirrored to the other CPU) for each CPU.
