The MIMO-3 contains 5 antennas in a single antenna housing and offers 2x cellular, 2x Wi-Fi, and one GPS antenna. The 2x cellular MIMO antennas (for 2G/3G/4G) cover the 698 to 2700 MHz band, as well as the 450 MHz band, which is becoming increasingly popular among various international network operators for LTE. This antenna is capable of handling future mobile communication technologies such as 5G due to its broadband capabilities, providing a versatile antenna that can be used across different operators and technologies. The antenna features two separate dual-band Wi-Fi antennas that simultaneously support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz on each antenna with 2x2 MIMO capability. The fifth antenna is a high-performance active GPS/GLONASS system that operates down to -40° Celsius.

Poynting Antennas certifies both the fire-resistant cables used in the manufacturing of its antennas and cable assemblies, as well as the complete MIMO-1 antenna series for the EMC ECE R10.04 - E10 marking. This allows Poynting antennas and cable sets to be used without concern in buses and other vehicle installations.

Poynting Antennas has thus confirmed that all cables used by Poynting Antennas for the MIMO-1 and (new) MIMO-3 antenna series, as well as the following cable assemblies: CAB-118, CAB-119, CAB-124, CAB-121, CAB-122, and CAB-123, meet the requirements of ECE R118.2.
