At up to 18 Gbit/s, the new HDMI 2.0b standard has a much higher data rate than its previous predecessors (maximum up to 10.2 Gbit/s). This means that UHD movies can be transmitted smoothly at 60 frames per second. Most HDMI cables on the market, on the other hand, manage a maximum of 30 Hz.
