Yes, the monitor can be used with a Mac M4 mini as the first monitor as long as the Mac's USB-C port supports display output. The monitor uses a single USB-C connection for power and video signal, allowing for easy connection. It is important that the USB-C port of the Mac M4 mini supports DisplayPort output so that the image can be transmitted. There are reports that ASUS ZenScreen models are compatible with macOS, however the ASUS DisplayWidget software is mainly for Windows and not available for macOS. Nevertheless, pure video transmission via USB-C usually works without any problems if the Mac supports display output.

The screen of this portable monitor is treated with an anti-reflective surface, which helps to reduce glare and improve visibility in a variety of environments. However, there is no specific mention of additional protection for the screen, such as tempered glass or an integrated protective screen. For extra protection, it might be worth considering an external protective screen.

I have a Thinkpad X1 Carbon, gen 11, running Ubuntu. It works out of the box; shows up in xrandr as DP-3 (a DisplayPort screen). It's probably a function of the GPU (the X1 has Intel Integrated graphics).

Here you need an HDMI to USB-C adapter with an additional power delivery port that can supply the monitor with power. You will need something along these lines HDMI to USB Type C converter. Make sure you have a suitable USB-A power supply to power the monitor and a USB-C to USB-C cable that supports video signals.

I used the USB C cable that came with it, which also supplies the power when I connected it to the laptop, but I later replaced it with a shorter cable that I still had and that also worked. Without this, the screen has no power and does not run, so there is no battery installed as I see it. If it doesn't work with the cable, maybe it's the port on the PC or notebook. I think there are always adapters, I would google them, as I don't need one myself, I haven't looked for one.

The ASUS ZenScreen MB166C can be compatible with a Mac, but there are some conditions that must be met: - The Mac must have a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort (DP) output. You need to check if your Mac's USB-C port has this function. - It is important to use the correct cable. A standard USB-C charging cable is often not sufficient as it does not support high data rates. A USB-C cable with USB 3.1 SuperSpeed or higher is required. - Make sure the monitor is properly connected and powered. Sometimes it can help to restart the Mac or wake it from sleep mode to establish the connection. If these conditions are met, the ASUS ZenScreen MB166C should work fine with your Mac (Sequoia 15.1).

Hello, Yes, the PS5 can be connected to this screen. You will need to use the HDMI to Mini HDMI adapter and power the screen from a mains socket. As shown in diagram "C" on page 12 of the manual: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub...

The ASUS ZenScreen MB166C monitor is compatible with the PlayStation 5 (PS5), but with certain limitations. Here are the key points: - The PS5 cannot transmit video signal via USB-C in DisplayPort mode, so you need to use an HDMI cable for the video connection. - You can connect the monitor to the PS5 using the HDMI cable for video and a USB-C or USB-A cable for power and charging the monitor. So, although the monitor works with the PS5, it requires the use of an HDMI cable for video.

It doesn't work directly. It will surly work with Lindy HDMI to USB Type C Converter (HDMI, USB-C, 1.91 cm) tho. It delivers the power over usb + hdmi port for the picture.

The ASUS ZenScreen MB16AHV monitor is not fully compatible with the iPad Pro, especially when it comes to utilising all its features. - Display and Power: The monitor can be connected to an iPad Pro via a USB-C connection, but the iPad Pro's power supply is not sufficient to handle the monitor's power requirements. You might need a powered USB-C hub to try and make it work, but this is not guaranteed. - Touchscreen and Auto Rotation: These features are not supported on Mac or iOS devices, as the necessary drivers are only available for Windows. - Basic Functionality: While the monitor will display content from the iPad Pro, it will not support advanced features like touchscreen functionality or auto-rotation between landscape and portrait modes. In summary, while you can connect the monitor to an iPad Pro for basic display purposes, it will not offer the full range of features it provides when connected to a Windows laptop.

The ASUS ZenScreen MB166C is generally compatible with a Surface Book 2 and Windows 11, provided that the USB-C port of the Surface Book 2 supports DisplayPort Alternative Mode (DP Alt Mode). There are a few important points to note here: 1. USB-C port: make sure the USB-C port on your Surface Book 2 supports DP Alt Mode, as the ZenScreen MB166C has a USB-C port for both power and video transfer. 2. software and settings: Check that the display settings on your Surface Book 2 are configured correctly. This may mean checking the video input settings on the external display and making sure it is set to the correct port. 3. drivers and software: Make sure that all necessary drivers and software are updated on your Surface Book 2 to ensure a smooth connection. If you follow these points, the ASUS ZenScreen MB166C should work smoothly with your Surface Book 2 and Windows 11.
