This should work, but I haven't tried it myself (because I only have 1 lamp per location). The manual says: Pairing and connecting multiple lamps: You can pair and connect a wireless controller with multiple lamps to operate multiple lamps simultaneously. If the distance between the controller and these lamps is within 1 metre, the lighting patterns of these lamps will change simultaneously.

Velcro or cable ties. It's a smooth surface, but without a mount etc. DIY is the order of the day. The angle may no longer fit or the position may be too high. Try it out - the light gain makes up for all the disadvantages.

There is no official Home Assistant integration for this product, and community support appears absent. The manufacturer lists no related software or drivers for the device. Community posts report no available plugin or integration for the Screenbar Halo (Halo 2) and suggest it likely cannot be integrated at this time. I'm not completely certain about third‑party hacks or unofficial integrations; the available information does not show any working Home Assistant component for this device. You may consult the Home Assistant community for any recent reverse‑engineering efforts.

The light is not autonomous, it must be supplied with power via USB (USB-C), e.g. from a PC, monitor or power supply unit. If connected via PC, it also works when the PC is switched off, as long as the USB port is still supplying power - however, the manufacturer recommends a separate 5V/3A power supply unit for full power.

Yes, a USB-C plug for the power supply is included in the scope of delivery. The device has a USB-C connection (15W, cable length 1.5 m) and is supplied with a suitable USB-C power supply unit.

I would say that the minimum brightness is almost identical. The Halo 2 screenbar is also relatively bright on the minimum setting. Maybe a little bit less bright, but that's very subjective. I would say the 2 would not satisfy you.

Does the lamp also fit on a curved monitor?

avatar

Helpful answer
The lamp also fits curved monitors with a curvature between 1000R and 1800R and a monitor thickness of 0.43 to 6 cm. The patented clip enables secure attachment even on curved screens without causing annoying light reflections. It is also suitable for very strongly curved monitors (up to 1000R), although additional brackets may be useful for extreme curvatures.

We work with daily prices, which can be influenced by various factors such as purchasing conditions, stock levels and supply and demand. These differ from our Swiss and international shop, so it is not so easy to make direct price comparisons.

Helpful answer
The Screenbar Halo 2 is compatible with monitors that have a thickness of 0.43 to 6 cm and also supports curved monitors with curvatures from 1000R to 1800R. As the BenQ PD2725U is a standard monitor with a thickness within this range, the Screenbar Halo 2 should fit on it without any problems, even if the monitor is slightly thicker in the centre. The lamp can be tilted to fit the shape of the monitor, which is helpful for thicker monitors. For an exact fit, we recommend measuring the thickness of your monitor and comparing it with the compatibility range.
