No thing. The U1 is certainly a good choice for digital signage and more. I've used the U1 every day for 3 years and it just keeps going and going. I hope it helps. Good luck to you!

Hello, I haven't used the Minix for a while. It was always just a small update and will probably remain Android version 5. Especially since the 8 - 9 are already up to date and Minix is still on 5. There is hardly anything else to come.....

Kodi runs perfectly, so plex should also run. Be careful with the installed android version, some apps from the store may not run (anymore). Check the minix forum to see which android versions are supported. The remote control supplied is absolutely poor. The alternative: Airmouse Neo A2 is, with a little getting used to, pretty good for media centres, surfing etc. but very modest and a bit cumbersome.

Officially, at least, not. The manufacturer (Minix) prefers to stick to one Android version per device generation. However, patches and bug fixes continue to be released, including Android security fixes (the last one was on 22 February).

I can't really say anything about Quickline; I bought the box based on many recommendations and was not disappointed. I loaded a few TV apps and they run smoothly. Kodi is also preinstalled in its own version and is top-notch! Otherwise everything is as usual with Android. But be sure to buy the Minix lite remote control...
