Is it better to charge the controllers on this station vs. directly on the console?

Probably no difference, but this charges 4 controllers at once, the console only 2.

When the light changes from red to green, does the charging station continue to draw power? Do I have to remove the controllers so that they don't charge all the time? Unfortunately, I didn't find anything in the instructions that the controllers have to be removed.

The green lights also consume electricity! Measured with the meter, 1.5 watts of electricity is consumed when the lights are green with the station fully occupied ... quite a bit! I switch the whole thing off via the power strip.

Regarding the longevity of the Joy-Con batteries, is it OK to leave the Joy-Cons on the charging dock once they are fully charged (green light)? OR is it better to detach them, once charged, until the next game?

What is the difference to the HORI Joy-Con Cradle? And what does Power A mean?

PowerA is a name, like HORI, Sony, Samsung, etc. Both are connected via USB and therefore differ mainly only in their names, otherwise they are identical. The charging intelligence comes from the Joy-Con.

No, this is only the charging station. The pictures seem a bit confusing, but the price would be very reasonable if four Joy-Cons were included.

Recently, the LEDs on my dock always stay red. Sometimes, if you remove and reinsert a Joy-Con on the left side, the LED on the right changes to green. If you then remove the right Joy-Con and reinsert it, the LED is red again and stays red. Has anyone had similar experiences? Is this perhaps a defect?

Could well be the USB part that supplies the power. Mine stay green once they are charged. Unless there is a power interruption to the Joycon, then it turns red again until the charging station is convinced that the Joycons are fully charged.
