I don't know what's wrong with me.... I've already answered the question for the second time, NO this is for the M series, no EF connection.

The lens is designed for APS-C and does not fully illuminate the full-frame sensor of the A7II. But the lens can of course be mounted. By default, the A7II would switch to APS-C and then only have about 10MP. That makes little sense. The angle of view then corresponds to a 24mm lens. The Sigma 24mm Art would be more suitable. That is calculated for full format.

The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN for the L-mount (Leica L) is a versatile lens, especially for APS-C cameras. It offers a fast aperture of f/1.4, which is ideal for taking pictures in low light conditions and for creative blurring (bokeh). With its 16mm focal length (equivalent to around 24mm in full-frame format), it is ideal for landscape, architecture and street photography. Due to its optical quality and robust construction, it is suitable for various shooting situations, even when focussed on APS-C cameras.

You never get details like that here with the second-hand items. I wouldn't buy them here. Digitec won't be able to provide the details because it's a return.

Does the message always appear or only when the distortion correction is set to Auto? If it always appears, the lens is defective. I have never seen this message with this lens. I would send it back. Always assuming that the lens is mounted correctly and the contacts are clean.

Is this lens suitable for car photography?

It depends on what you want to do. You can certainly photograph cars with it. But the focal length is rather at the lower end. It's a decent wide-angle with the equivalent of 24mm KB. Perhaps the 30mm Sigma would be more suitable.

The Sigma is really first class. Extremely sharp even at open aperture. I don't do astrophotography, but there are people who use it for that and seem to be satisfied. Maybe you should ask in a forum.

That's absolutely right, I tested it that way and it works. 4K corresponds to approx. 8.something megapixels, so that the sensor area in crop mode still offers sufficient resolution with around 10 megapixels.
