This receiver is only for DVB-C, i.e. the signal supplied by UPC, for example. This box cannot do anything with a SAT signal. This box is actually only required if you have a beamer or an old TV without DVB-C. Current TVs already have DVB-C and do not need this box.

UPC CI+ works for me without any problems.
I can highly recommend this device!
According to the data sheet, the connected USB devices should be formatted in the FAT32 file format for this to work correctly. However, I do not see any other restrictions. -> https://assets0.technisat.com/assetsFS...

I am with WWZ and have Quickline. EPG and recording work tip-top for me.
TechniSat has very cleverly hidden the information that this unit has HDMI-CEC on page 56 of the operating instructions: https://www.technisat.com/assetsFS...
In my opinion, there is no shame in clearly declaring such a function in the specifications or even on the manufacturer's website.

I can only give you an answer for the free channels (70 pieces). These run perfectly. According to the technical description, the DigiCard for more channels should actually also work. However, I did not test this, as I am satisfied with the basic package.

This is a cable receiver (DVB-C) and therefore not suitable for satellite reception.
Alternative example: TechniSat TechniStar S3 ISIO, HDTV Sat,UPnP,Browser,Black (DVB-S2, CI+ slot, Conax)
- fulfils all your described requirements.
